Focus area: Community transitions for a safe climate
Indigenous Desert Alliance is a member‑led network strengthening Indigenous land management across Australia’s desert.
Their main areas of focus include leading advocacy for climate resilience in the desert; supporting Indigenous women’s leadership; and training and capacity building for rangers.
In 2025, they helped facilitate 66 million hectares of desert country being managed with ‘right-way’ fire and over 300 Indigenous rangers were engaged in fire management activities.
