Focus area: Community transitions for a safe climate
Greenpeace has been a strong voice for a green and peaceful future for 40 years and continues the fight for the climate and communities.
With support from Morris Family Foundation, Greenpeace has been continuing its fight for the reduction and cessation of logging native forests in Australia, collaborating with the Australian Government to inform the Environmental Protection and Biodiversity Conservation (EPBC) Law Reform.
They’ve also led a successful campaign to shift the narrative around the beef industry driving deforestation, leading to public promises from ALDI, Coles, Woolworths, and McDonald’s to move to deforestation-free beef.
Their continued work on protecting and restoring oceans focuses on four pillars including: oil and gas work; deep-sea mining; plastics; and marine sanctuaries.
